Mine would be you
I have heard this song several times over the last week and every time I end up stopping what I'm doing at the time and just listening. Blake Shelton has several songs about relationships that I really like but this one always hits me about how I feel about Nathan.

Bear Hunt
During the month of May Nathan went on his bear hunt. He, his father, and their guide Dennis Ingram spent two weeks hiking and searching for their chance at a big bear.
(Left)
The dogs 'riggin' as the guide calls it. Dennis drives up and down the canyons and when the dogs catch the scent of a bear, bobcat, or mountain lion they start howling and everyone gets out of the vehicles and look for the tracks.

During the bear hunt the dogs treed a mountain lion. Nate was able to take several good pictures and videos of it before they called the dogs off and left the cat to come down on its own.
Although the hunt was unsuccessful for a bear it was still fun and defiantly an experience Nate will never forget. Learn more about Dennis at http://www.ingramwildlife.com/

A 'challenging' visit (Part 2)
After completing Challenge Course #1, we all headed off to Challenge Course #5
Challenge Course #5 also involves the use of a climbing harness. This time you get strapped in and raised up high in a tree, when you reach the top you are told to release a strap you have been holding and then you go flying. It ends up being a large pendulum swing. The first swing back to the tree is the most daunting because you think that you are going to hit the tree, but you never do.

A 'challenging' visit (Part 1)
Last weekend Nathan and I we able to go spend the night at Heber Valley Girls Camp and visit with my parents. After a rough start at the gate, which you can read about in my previous post 'a warm welcome' my parents lead us straight to one of the camp's 5 challenge courses.
Challenge Course #1 involves putting on a climbing harness and than scaling a 30 foot tall log with small hand/foot holds notched into it. Also the log is not secured to the ground. It hangs and therefore swings as you climb. When you finally reach the top of the log you have to cross a thin wire bridge another 30 feet to reach the zip-line platform, and sailing back to the ground and freedom.
The hardest part for me was that I am very afraid of heights. The higher I climbed the worse it got. and than traveling along the wire bridge with only a thin wire under my feet and a rope in my hands I could see all across the mountain, including the ground far below me. The zip-line was a easiest part for me. Just a simple ride down.

A warm Heber Valley Camp Welcome
This last weekend we had the opportunity to go up to the Heber Valley Girls Camp spend the night visiting my parents who are serving a mission there. My father had a surprise for Nathan when we showed up. Here is the email and pictures that they sent out after the fact.
(Written by my father)
"For a little fun, I had security tell Nate that because this is a girls camp, all young males needed to be 'frisked' before entering the camp. After a little persuasion, (and fuming on Nates part), he finally complied. I was hiding in the bushes taking theses pictures. When all was said and done, he was a good sport about the whole thing, and we had a big laugh. (I'm just glad he didn't have a gun when he finally turned around and saw me taking pictures). We love you all.
PS-Next time you all visit, we'll be sure and find a way to welcome you too!!!!"
We had a great visit with them and had a fun time. I'll share more about it and some pictures later this week.
Happy Tuesday!!!

Hummingbirds
Today was such a nice day that I decided to go out on the back porch a read for a while before church. I kept getting distracted from my book by all the hummingbirds visiting our two feeders.
I pulled out my camera and was able to catch a few amazing shots of these wonderful birds.
All of these pictures are straight from my camera. No photoshop or cropping done on the computer.
Enjoy!
