Fishing Day Date

Nathan and I were finally able to get away and go fishing this last weekend.  We usually go several times a year but this last Saturday was the first time that we had made it out to the reservoir this year.


We decided to try out a new place and we are so glad that we did.  We had a great time and also we both caught fish!


It was a beautiful day to be up in the mountains.

Nathan's biggest fish was 16 1/2 inches long.
Mine was 17 inches.  I win for biggest fish.

I love this man so much.  I am so happy that we got to spend a fun day together doing what we love and having a great time doing it.

Goats!!!

 Nathan's sister Jennifer got her new goat kids two weeks ago.  Olaf and Smoky are the newest additions to her little backyard farm.  We love that we can go over to her house anytime and play with all kinds of animals.  Rabbits, chickens, goats, baby chicks, dogs, and of course our turkeys.

 Olaf is very friendly and just loves to be held and cuddled.  He will do just about anything to get your attention.

 Smoky on the other hand is the little brother who just wants to be left alone to play, just as long as Olaf is close by.  Smoky favorite activity lately has been to climb into the chicken hutch and then use the walkway board as a trampoline while he slides down.  He will do this over and over again until the board slips off the ledge to the ground.

Some day we hope to have a mischievous little goat of our own when we have a bigger yard.

The other night we were over at Nathan's sisters house visiting our turkeys and the other farm animals she has and Nathan decided to get onto the trampoline with his niece P.  He had to show her 'how it was really done.'

We all got a pretty good laugh watching these two go at it in a trampoline flip competition. They are so fun together and I am glad that she still calls him Uncle NaeNae some times.  He is such a great uncle.

Bath time for puppy

We know its time to give Jasper a bath when his "browns are brown, and his whites are too."  When he was just a little pup he would hate to get into tub; but over the years he has decided that his baths are not too bad and he will willingly climb into the bathtub when we ask him too.

All clean and soft when his 'browns are brown, and his whites are white."  This guy makes us laugh everyday, even when he is having a whiny day like today.  We are so glad that he is a member of our family.

As another way to spread the word of our desire to become adoptive parents we now have buttons available on our blog for other bloggers to post on their blogs. 

I have to admit prior to creating my own buttons, the concept of blog buttons was pretty foreign to me.  I had seen cute buttons on other blogs but I had not known what their function was or how to use them.  I am still learning.
